Reginald
W. Atkins Jr.
"GRACE and PEACE," is a familiar phrase often heard reverberating
throughout churches in the eastcoast. It has become a trademark of
Reginald W. Atkins Jr., the prolific and visionary leader who,
at the age of 28, became the Sr. Pastor and Founder of Zion Family
Worship Center Church centrally located in two locations; Roselle
NJ and Newark, NJ. Dr. Atkins willingness to say "Yes" to the Lord
fostered his ability to grow the ministry into a haven of
knowledge. Now, as "One Church with an Outreach into many
Churches," this vibrant ministry has grown (two locations) to
serving the specific needs of Pastors, Ministries and churches in
urban locations in New Jersey, remote locations throughout the
United States and two locations in Africa: Longbanch, Newark and
Camden, NJ, Seacrest Florida, Durham & Norlina North Carolina,
Richmond, Blackhill, and Emporia Virginia, Kenya and Ghana Africa.
As a result of Bishop Atkins unwavering faith, multifaceted
mindset, and ability to "trust God," over two hundred Pastors are
at work communicating and sharing resources throughout the country
via PastorNet. Bishop Atkins was just recognized as a candidate for
the prestigious 2004 Pastoral Excellence award by the National
Association of Clergy for the PastorNet concept.
Licensed as a Minister in 1983, Ordained as an Elder in 1995 and
Consecrated a Bishop in 2003, Bishop Atkins was the Vice Presiding
Bishop and one of the founding members of New Dimensions World Wide
Ministries, Inc. In this role, Bishop Atkins served as the chairman
of the Board of Presbyter and Dean of the accredited New Dimensions
Bible College. A true bridge builder, Bishop Atkins hosts monthly
interdenominational clergy gatherings via PastorNet. Bishop Atkins
is Presiding Prelate of Zion International Fellowship of Christian
Churches with 8 Churches under his Apostolic covering. He is also
General Secretary of the Cathedral of Covenant Fellowship
Ministries, Inc under the direct supervision of Bishop H. Euegene
Bellinger. He is also a member of the Joint College of
African-American Pentecostal Bishops Congress in Cleveland, Ohio
under the direct supervision of Bishop J. Delano Ellis,
Metropolitan.
Dr. Atkins and his lovely wife, Pastor Cynthia Atkins launched two
successful businesses in 1999, Information Technology 2000 Computer
School and Information Technology 2000 Consulting Group. The
Computer School graduated 400 students a year and the
Consulting group employed technical professional to work at fortune
500 and 1000 companies throughout NJ. There business employed 18
full time and 4 part time employees. The school was approved by the
Department of Education, Department of Veteran Administration,
Moet, Workfirst and Unemployment Programs.
Dr. Atkins has authored several instructional booklets on a variety
of relevant topics. Those publications include: "Spiritual Warfare
in the end-times, Marriage God's Way, My finances need HELP!,
Praise and Worship and Church Administration and
Structure".
Bishop Atkins is a graduate of the North Eastern Bible
College, Evangel Bible Institute, and Trinity Bible College and
Seminary of New Jersey. In December 2007, he recieved a Doctoral
Degree in Divinity from the prestigious Saint Thomas Christian
College in Jacksonville, Florida.
Bishop Atkins is the husband of Dr. Cynthia Atkins, a business
women and Pastor. Together, they are the proud and thankful parents
of three lovely children; Lemuel, Shekinah and Peniel-Reginald
Atkins. Bishop Dr. Atkins is a servant of God who continues to say
"Yes" to the Lord's call on his life.
